10 Tips For Traveling In Europe

Europe is a continent full of culture, history, and natural beauty. From the white cliffs of Dover to the canals of Venice, there is so much to see and do. With so many different countries and languages, it can be hard to know where to start.

Here are 10 tips for traveling in Europe that will make your trip more enjoyable:

1. Let the train take the strain – Europe has an extensive network of high-speed trains that can get you around quickly and easily.

2. Free City Walking Tours – many cities offer free walking tours that are a great way to see the sights and learn about the history and culture.

3. City Pass – if you plan on visiting multiple cities, a city pass can save you money on transport and attractions. And whenever possible use public transportation.

4. Eat where the locals eat – for the best food experience, head to the local markets and cafes. Stay away from tourist ‘Set Menu’, I’ve never had a good one yet!

5. Get Organized – make sure you have all your documents in order before you travel. Check, check, and check again.

6. Pack Light – only take what you need, Europe is full of value-for-money retailers.

7. Look for free or cheap activities -  Museums, art galleries, and beautiful parks. You’ll be amazed how much you can experience without spending money.

8. Travel off-season - this is not always possible but can save you a ton of hard-earned cash, sometimes doubling your spending money!

9. Respect local customs and traditions – different countries have different cultural expectations. It is essential to be sensitive to customs and traditions even if you disagree with them.

10. Enjoy each moment – Europe is a fascinating continent with so much to see and do. Make sure you take the time to enjoy each moment and create memories that will last a lifetime.

There are a lot of reasons why I love Europe - the history, the architecture, the way of life- but mostly, I love it because I find traveling there quite easy. Enjoy and remember “Dare to live the life you've always wanted.” Happy travels!
